Recruiting Update- Drew Greene (Cherry Hill East)

Class of 2022 Drew Greene is making progress in his recruitment process. The 5’10 point guard has set a timeline on when he looks to decide.

“As of right now I am looking to commit in the next couple of weeks. I have taken visits to Susquehanna, Rowan, Penn State Abington, Franklin and Marshall, Bowdoin, Randolph Macon, and Muhlenberg.”

“A few of my top ones that my family and I have cut my list down to is Randolph Macon, Muhlenberg, Bowdoin, and Penn State Abington.”

Greene broke down these schools with Northeast Corridor Hoops.

Bowdoin: “When I visited Bowdoin in Maine it was beautiful. Coach Lloyd there does a great job and you can see that the culture there is going in the right direction. It is his first year as a coach there and he is putting in the right factors for them to be a successful program.”

Muhlenberg: “I recently visited Muhlenberg which is one of my big interests. I got to see a practice and their whole team plays the right way. They all came over and introduced themselves to me and I loved everything about their team and also their coach. Coach Hopkins gave me a great tour and said lots of things that actually made me more interested in the school. Muhlenberg is a very well rounded school with a great balance of athletics, academics, and a social life.”

Penn State Abington: “I am a big fan of the coach and how he goes about his players and his team. He came to one of my practices recently and we had a great talk about me being a potential leader in their program. I am going to see a game on December 4th coming up which I am very excited for.”

Randolph Macon. “They have been great to me. The assistant has been talking to me since early summer and has stayed in contact with me to get me to come down to the school. I got to visit recently in Virginia and I got to see a practice. From the practice I definitely understood why they are the number one team in the country for Division III basketball. Everything about their culture and their togetherness made me feel like I was in a winning environment. I also got to meet with Head Coach Merkel which was a pleasure to talk to him. We got to talk about what their program is about, what I would bring to their program, and what the school does for me in general. Their school definitely makes me feel like I’m family even though I’m not enrolled in the school. From a visit and talking on the phone with both coaches their school is in great interest to my family and I.”

“Overall all the schools are great academically and athletically. As time goes on my family and I will make a decision and no matter where I go I know I will be happy.”
